Domain Name Questions Q. I don't have a domain name, should I register one myself or will myWEBSHERPA.com take care of this for me? A. You are welcome to register and manage your own domain name if you wish. myWEBSHERPA.com is happy to handle this step for you. If you pay for your yearly hosting up front, myWEBSHERPA.com will even pay all your domain registration fees. Q. I already have a domain name registered. Can I use that name for my myWEBSHERPA.com managed web site? A. Yes, easily. After signing up simply point your domain name to the myWEBSHERPA.com name servers:

Web Design Questions Q. What happens after I sign up? A. After filling out the sign up form you will be contacted by a myWEBSHERPA.com representative to discuss any questions you may have about the process. In addition, we will go over the process for handing over material to be used in the creation of your web site. This material includes but may not be limited to:
Q. How long after I sign up until my web site is built? A. The length of time depends on the complexity of your web site. Smaller sites with fewer graphics and pages can potentially be built within 5 to 7 business days after all material is handed over to us. If the material handed over is vague and unclear this will delay the web site development process. Larger more complex sites, or sites containing shopping carts and e-commerce solutions will take longer. Q. What is not included in the standard design plan? A. The following are not included in any of the standard design plans:
While these are not included in the price of the standard design plans they can be purchased. Q. What if the standard design plan does not work for me? A. Here at myWEBSHERPA.com we always strive to meet the needs of all our customers. If you require web site development outside the scopes of our standard plan this is not a problem. We will be happy to give you a custom quote for your custom web site. Q. Are the web site design prices the same if I choose not to host my web site with myWEBSHERPA.com? A. The current web design prices are based on paying for the first year of hosting up front. All web sites designed but not hosted by myWEBSHERPA.com will be treated as custom sites which require a custom quote.
Hosting and Maintenance Questions Q. Why should I host with myWEBSHERPA.com? A. Here is just a partial list of why you should host with myWEBSHERPA.com: Maintenance - All myWEBSHERPA.com hosting plans come with some degree of monthly maintenance included. This means that your web site can be updated and kept fresh on a regular basis at no additional charge. Managed Hosting - This means that you will never need to learn how to FTP your own files to web server or any number of other technical aspects for managing your own web site. 99% uptime - myWEBSHERPA.com's network is robust and unsaturated, with a dual redundant OC-12 architecture that backs up our uptime guarantee. Personal service - At myWEBSHERPA.com our goal is to know each of our customers by name. Q. What if I require maintenance in excess of my monthly maintenance plan? A. Extra maintenance will be billed at a rate of $35 per half hour. Please submit your maintenance requests as usual and you will be notified if your request will take longer then the amount of time which comes included with your hosting plan. You will not be charged the extra amount until you have approved it. Q. How do I request maintenance for my web site? A. Please fill out a help desk ticket on our support page. After you fill out your ticket you will be able to track it from the same location. When you use this system for the first time you will need to register for a help desk account. Q. How long after I submit a maintenance ticket until the changes go live on my web site? A. Chances are that routine maintenance requests will go live on your web site within 1 to 2 business days, if not sooner. However, we reserve the right to take longer if necessary. If you know in advance that you have some important updates or maintenance which must occur on or before a certain date, please let us know as early as possible so we can make sure that your needs will be met. Q. Will I get a chance to preview the changes to my web site before they go live? A. Unless you state otherwise, changes to your web site will go live without a review cycle. If your needs require approval before changes go live, this can be arranged. Please keep in mind that setting up a development site and or working with a review cycle process will eat up much more of your monthly maintenance time. Q. Will my unused maintenance time roll over to future months? A. No. Maintenance included in monthly hosting plans is discounted so heavily that we can not afford to roll over unused maintenance minutes.
Payment Questions Q. Do I need to pay for my first year of hosting up front? A. We find that it is much easier for everyone involved if hosting is paid up front on a yearly basis. If this is a problem for you please bring this up with a myWEBSHERPA.com representative so that we can arrange a monthly re-occuring hosting payment. Q. What forms of payment do you accept? A. We accept checks (checks should be made payable to myWEBSHERPA.com) and all major credit cards.
